Privacy Policy
Effective September 14, 2026
The short version. Tempril needs no name, email, or password to use. What you write about your sessions and how you feel stays on your device. We store your session timing so streaks survive a new phone, plus anything you choose to share. No ads, no tracking, no selling data. Delete everything from inside the app whenever you like.
Who we are
Tempril is provided by Flux Point LLC. Questions about this policy go to support@tempril.app.
What stays on your device
These are never sent to us:
- Session notes — anything you write about how a session went.
- C·A·W check-ins — your capacity, affect, and weight readings.
- Your ideas, rituals, and challenges.
- Your app settings.
Because they exist only on your device, we can't see them — and we can't recover them if your device is lost or the app is deleted.
What we store with your account
Your account
The first time you open Tempril, an account is created automatically. It's identified by a random ID and a contributor number. You can optionally give yourself a display name. We also store your points total and which streak milestones you've reached.
Your session history
For each timer you finish or abandon: its length, planned and actual duration, start and end times, whether you completed it, the title you gave it, its focus area, the calendar day it belongs to, and whether it was part of a challenge or started from someone's shared activity. This is what keeps your streak alive across devices, and what lets us verify sessions before awarding points. Your notes are not included.
What you share
Activities you choose to share in the Inspiration feed: the title, timer length, focus area, any instructions you add, and your session note only if you explicitly choose to include it.
Community activity
The likes you give, when you try someone's shared activity, notifications you receive, and any reports or blocks you make.
Your email address — only if you add one
If you choose to add an email to save your progress, we store it and use it only to send you sign-in links. We don't send marketing email.
Who can see what
Other people using Tempril can see
- Your contributor number or display name and your points total, on the leaderboard once you've earned points.
- Activities you share, and how many people have tried or liked them. If you share with credit, your name or number is shown. If you share anonymously, nothing identifying you is shown.
Other people can't see
- Your session history, streaks, or how your points were earned.
- Who shared an anonymous activity — including if they block that person.
- What you've liked, reported, or blocked.
These limits are enforced by the database's access rules, not just by the app's interface.
What we can see
As the operator of Tempril, we can access the database, including which account posted an anonymous share — that link is what makes moderation and points possible. We access this data only to run and secure the service, handle reports and moderation, respond to requests from you, or when required by law.
How we use it
- To run Tempril: syncing your history and restoring your streaks on a new device.
- To calculate points, and to reject sessions that couldn't physically have happened.
- To show the leaderboard and send you in-app notifications.
- To keep the community safe: reviewing reports and acting on violations of our Community Guidelines.
- To reply when you contact us.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
- We don't sell your personal information, or share it for advertising.
Services we rely on
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in, in the United States. It processes your account data and the IP address your requests come from.
- Netlify hosts tempril.app and the web version of Tempril, and processes IP addresses as part of serving it.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on the tempril.app website pages, so Google receives your IP address when you visit them. The app itself carries its own fonts.
- If you download Tempril from the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google also process information under their own privacy policies.
Timer alerts are generated on your device. Tempril doesn't use push-notification services.
Tapping "Send feedback" opens your own email app with a message addressed to us, pre-filled with your device type and app version. Nothing is sent unless you send that email.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it's removed from our active database immediately, along with your session history, shared activities, likes, notifications, reports, and blocks. Copies may remain in our providers' routine backups for a limited time before they're overwritten. Points other people earned from your activities remain on their accounts.
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: in the app, go to Profile → Delete account. This also clears Tempril's data from that device.
- Stay anonymous: you never have to add an email or a name, and you can share anonymously.
- Access or correct your data: email us.
Depending on where you live — including the EU, the UK, and California — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below. We won't treat you differently for doing so.
Children
Tempril isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Connections to Tempril are encrypted, and database access rules restrict every account to its own private data. No system is perfectly secure, but we design Tempril to hold as little about you as it can.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes — especially anything that affects what we collect — we'll tell you in the app first.
