Terms of Service
Effective September 14, 2026
The short version. Tempril is a free focus and timing instrument. Be decent in what you share. Points are for motivation and have no cash value. Activities others share aren't vetted, so use your judgment. You can delete your account whenever you like.
1. Agreement
These terms cover your use of Tempril — the app and the website at tempril.app — provided by Flux Point LLC ("we", "us"). By using Tempril you agree to them, to our Community Guidelines, and to how we handle data as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use Tempril
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
Tempril creates an account for you automatically, with no sign-up. That account is anonymous: nothing connects it to you unless you choose to add an email address.
If you don't add an email and you lose your device, reinstall the app, or clear its data, we cannot restore your account — we have no way of knowing it was yours. Each account is for one person. Don't create extra accounts to manipulate points or rankings.
4. What Tempril is — and isn't
Tempril is an instrument for structuring time and attention. The C·A·W check-in is a prompt for self-reflection, and its recommendations are suggestions about how long to work. It is not a medical, psychological, or professional assessment, and nothing in Tempril is a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
Activities in the Inspiration feed are shared by other people and are not reviewed by us before they appear. Use your own judgment, and don't attempt anything that isn't safe for you.
Don't rely on Tempril for anything where a missed, delayed, or failed timer or notification could cause harm.
5. What you share
You keep ownership of anything you share. By sharing an activity, you give Flux Point LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it within Tempril, and you allow other people to do that activity and adapt it for their own use — which is the point of sharing it.
You're responsible for what you share, and you must have the right to share it. When you delete a shared activity or your account, it is removed from Tempril.
6. Moderation
We may remove content, limit features, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the Community Guidelines, with or without notice. Content that several people report may be hidden automatically while it's reviewed. If you think we got a decision wrong, write to us at the address below.
7. Points, streaks and the leaderboard
Points, streaks, and rankings exist to encourage you. They have no monetary value and can't be sold, transferred, or exchanged for anything. We may change how they're earned, and we may correct or remove points gained through errors, abuse, or manipulation — including fabricated sessions or multiple accounts.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Tempril to break the law, and don't:
- interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attack the service or its infrastructure;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours;
- scrape or harvest content or information about other users;
- automate account creation, sessions, likes, or reports;
- reverse-engineer or modify the app to manipulate points or rankings;
- impersonate another person or organization.
9. Paid features
Tempril is currently free. If we introduce paid features, their price and terms will be shown to you before you buy, and those terms will apply to that purchase.
10. Changes
Tempril is actively developed, so features change and may occasionally be unavailable. We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use Tempril after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Ending
You can stop using Tempril at any time, and you can delete your account from inside the app under Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts as described in section 6.
12. Disclaimers
Tempril is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flux Point LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Tempril. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tempril is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Alabama, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
